The short version
A useful starting point
Consider HeyGen for an authorized presenter format with a reviewed script and delivery check.
A good fit if…
Teams producing repeatable onboarding or explanatory messages.
Look elsewhere if…
A real demonstration is required but you only have a presenter script.
An avatar can deliver a script, but it cannot decide whether the script is accurate or appropriate for the audience. HeyGen is a candidate when a presenter-led format suits the message. Evaluate the wording, represented person and delivery together before treating the generated video as ready to share.
The documented presenter workflow
HeyGen describes avatar-based video creation and script-driven editing. Those features can support a repeatable presentation format. Check the current avatar, voice, language and export requirements for the account you will use, including the authorization process for any person represented in a custom avatar.
Approve the message before the performance
For a hypothetical customer onboarding video, write a short script explaining one task and the result the viewer should expect. Verify product names, instructions and promises before generating the presenter. A natural-looking delivery can make an inaccurate statement more persuasive, so the visual polish should not shorten the factual review.
Keep pronunciation notes for names and specialized terms. Break the script where the viewer needs time to act or inspect a visual. If a presenter refers to a button or document, ensure the accompanying material actually shows the current version. A generic talking head is not a substitute for demonstrating an interface when the task requires one.
Make the represented identity appropriate
Use an authorized avatar and voice, and describe the generated presentation honestly where context requires it. Do not imply that a real person personally recorded, approved or endorsed a statement unless that is true. Keep the permissions and script approval with the project record so later revisions do not drift beyond the intended use.
Review delivery in the exported video
Use a non-sensitive script containing a proper name, a number and an instruction. Inspect pronunciation, pacing, gestures and any captions after export. Ask a viewer to perform the task using only the video. Choose HeyGen when the presenter format supports understanding and the approval process remains manageable for each version you plan to produce.

Review scope
This review uses the linked official product documentation and editorial analysis. We have not run a hands-on product test or measured accuracy. Suggested exercises describe how to evaluate your own workflow. Plan access and data settings should be confirmed for the account you intend to use. Sources checked on 2026-10-24.
Strengths
